2K Games has welcomed Ben Brinkman from Respawn Entertainment to direct the development team at their internal studio, which is currently crafting the forthcoming over-the-shoulder action-packed title known as this innovative game.

Ismailer expressed that the team is now reimagining Project Ethos with a refreshed approach, aiming to satisfy player expectations.

This announcement echoes a comparable move taken by 2K Games in the summer, when they recruited Rod Fergusson from Blizzard to work on the beloved franchise development group.

The gamer responses from last autumn’s Project ETHOS testing phase was enlightening. It affirmed the potential of a action-packed game but told us we still had work to do. It highlighted the requirement for a more distinct vision.

The progress is encouraging to see how far you’ve progressed. You accepted the feedback to mind and overhauled the title with a renewed vision - one that’s ready to deliver on its potential to our fans.

Our confidence in Project ETHOS grows every day. To boost the remarkable development you’ve made, I am thrilled to welcome Ben Brinkman as the incoming Studio Head of the team. After several months of talks, Ben starts with us on Monday, October 20.

Ben’s guidance and background in the competitive gaming field is vast, having dedicated the past decade and a half creating and overseeing some of the most recognizable franchises in gaming, including the acclaimed shooter, and most recently, Apex Legends.

Brinkman currently serves in the role of executive producer and production lead at Respawn Entertainment for Apex Legends. Brinkman previously worked at Treyarch and Activision in various development positions on the Call of Duty series, and, before that, had assignments at other industry leaders.
